Job Title: Agronomy Office Manager
Job Summary:
The Agronomy Office Manager/Receptionist is responsible for overseeing daily administrative operations within an agronomy office. This role provides excellent customer service, supports agronomy sales and service teams, manages office tasks, and ensures smooth communication between customers, suppliers, and internal staff. The position requires strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills to keep the office running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception & Customer Service:
- Greet customers, answer phone calls, and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff.
- Provide professional and friendly customer service to farmers, vendors, and business partners.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, service requests, and appointment scheduling.
Office Administration:
- Manage daily office operations, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
- Maintain accurate records of agronomy sales, work orders, and inventory.
- Prepare reports, invoices, and purchase orders as needed.
- Handle mail, emails, and other communications efficiently.
Agronomy Support:
- Assist with agronomy product orders, deliveries, and inventory tracking.
- Coordinate with agronomists, sales representatives, and field staff to support scheduling and logistics.
- Maintain and update customer account information in the database.
- Assist in preparing agronomic reports, crop plans, and pricing documents.
Financial & Accounting Tasks:
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
- Reconcile accounts and assist with basic bookkeeping.
- Work with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
Compliance & Record-Keeping:
- Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations and company policies.
- Maintain safety records, employee certifications, and regulatory paperwork.
- Assist with required documentation for crop protection, seed, and fertilizer sales.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, or related field (preferred).
- Experience in office administration, customer service, or agronomy-related roles.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of agronomy, crop inputs, and agricultural operations is a plus.
