Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems and components. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet technical, performance, and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components, products, and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or CREO).
  • Perform engineering calculations and simulations (FEA, CFD, etc.) to validate designs.
  • Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, electrical, and software engineers.
  • Conduct prototype testing and analyze performance data for improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and efficiency.
  • Support product lifecycle management, from concept to production.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide technical support as needed.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and materials in mechanical engineering.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  •  years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, CREO, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with FEA and CFD analysis tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, or consumer products.
  • Knowledge of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software.
  • Familiarity with additive manufacturing (3D printing) and rapid prototyping.
