Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems and components. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet technical, performance, and manufacturing requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components, products, and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or CREO).
- Perform engineering calculations and simulations (FEA, CFD, etc.) to validate designs.
- Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, electrical, and software engineers.
- Conduct prototype testing and analyze performance data for improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and efficiency.
- Support product lifecycle management, from concept to production.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide technical support as needed.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and materials in mechanical engineering.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, CREO, etc.).
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with FEA and CFD analysis tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and engineering drawings.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, or consumer products.
- Knowledge of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software.
- Familiarity with additive manufacturing (3D printing) and rapid prototyping.
