Job Title: Shipping Coordinator
Location: Farmer City, IL
Pay Starts At: $18 - $20/hour 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Shipping Coordinator to join our team. This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all shipping operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient delivery of seed products to customers. The Shipping Coordinator will work closely with the production and warehouse teams to manage inventory, handle logistics, and maintain records while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all shipping activities, including the preparation, packaging, and scheduling of deliveries for seed products.
  • Ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and tracking of shipments to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the production and warehouse teams to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with the warehouse to ensure the appropriate stock is available for shipment.
  • Work with logistics providers to schedule and track shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any shipping issues.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records, including tracking information, shipping reports, and inventory logs.
  • Review and verify shipping orders to ensure accuracy in quantities, product types, and destination details.
  • Handle the receipt and inspection of incoming shipments, ensuring products meet quality standards and are accurately documented.
  • Communicate with customers to provide tracking information, address shipping inquiries, and resolve any shipping-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations related to shipping, including handling of seed products.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and sales, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and optimize shipping processes to improve efficiency and reduce shipping costs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse coordination, preferably in an agricultural or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and experience with inventory management or shipping software.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and customer satisfaction.
  • Forklift certification and experience (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.
