Job Title: Area Agriculture (Agronomy) Director

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Area Agriculture Director to support leadership across our agronomy division across 6 counties. This role will be critical in maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of product delivery and services to our customers. The Agronomy Regional Manager will oversee the sales team, manage goals and objectives, drive growth, and optimize inventories and margins to ensure the continued success of our agronomy services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Support:

    • Provide support and guidance to leadership across six counties, ensuring alignment with overall agronomy division goals and objectives.

    • Collaborate with senior management to drive strategic decisions aimed at improving operational efficiency, customer service, and profitability.

  • Sales Team Management:

    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets, improve performance, and foster a high-performing sales culture.

    • Set clear sales goals, monitor performance, and ensure the sales team is equipped with the tools and training needed to meet targets.

    • Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share in the region.

  • Inventory & Margin Management:

    • Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and product availability across all locations.

    • Manage purchasing and supply chain logistics to meet demand while controlling costs.

    • Optimize product margins and ensure profitability by overseeing pricing, cost management, and efficient product distribution.

  • Customer Relations & Service Excellence:

    • Ensure the delivery of high-quality services and products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.

    • Actively resolve customer issues and ensure a high level of customer service excellence is maintained across the region.

  • Strategic Planning & Goal Setting:

    • Collaborate with leadership to set regional agronomy objectives and KPIs to drive business growth.

    • Create and execute action plans to achieve sales and performance goals.

    • Monitor market trends and adjust strategies to meet changing customer demands and industry developments.

  • Reporting & Analytics:

    • Provide regular performance reports to leadership, tracking progress on sales goals, inventory management, margin performance, and customer satisfaction.

    • Analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions that drive efficiency and profitability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Business, or a related field (preferred).

  • Proven experience in agronomy, sales, or operations management, preferably in a regional or multi-location role.

  • Strong knowledge of agricultural products, services, and best practices.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing sales teams, setting goals, and driving business growth.

  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and inventory management software.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the region as needed.
